I saw Chet Childress skate in person in 1992, he was a skinny kid with glasses. Fast forward some years and Chet was with me on my first trip to Orcas Island, and then a few years later I was on Chet’s first Skate Rock trip. He’s been pro since he was a youngster and I recently had the chance to catch up with him while he was in SF the Stuptown Skate team.
